Honda is recalling 6,150 mini-tillers due to a potential fire hazard. A rubber component in the fuel tank assembly can crack and leak, posing a fire risk.
The vehicles involved use a Honda Gx25 mini four-stroke engine, and are Honda model number FG110, with serial number GCALT 1696948 to 1700567, and Mantis model numbers 7262 and 7270, with serial numbers GCART-1165215 to 1171495. The serial numbers are located on the engine near the fuel tank cap.
Honda advises consumers to discontinue use of the gardening equipment and to contact a Honda Power Equipment dealer or Honda Engine dealer (Mantis owners only) to have the fuel tank assembly replaced free of charge.
This is a potential safety defect. Please have your Honda repaired as soon as possible.
