Chrysler Motors has recalled 37,407 Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up trucks from model year 2009. The recalled trucks are equipped with manual temperature controls which may have defective software for the heating and air conditioning module. This latter defect may cause a failure of the heating and/or air, causing problems defrosting or defogging the windshield. When such a failure occurs, it can lead to a dangerous driving condition with impaired visibility.
Owners of the recalled vehicles may call Chrysler at (800) 853-1403 or NHTSA’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at (888) 327-4236.
