A total of 191,000 bottles of the Pfizer-produced cholesterol-fighting Lipitor have been recalled due to a strange odor related to the bottles the pills come in. The recall also includes "three additional lots of atorvastatin [the generic name for Lipitor] that Pfizer supplied to a Canadian company," according to Rick Chambers, a spokesman for the company. Pfizer is working with the manufacturer of the bottles to address the odor problem, and has stated that the odor is not likely to cause any health consequences.
